Cutting out (or even cutting down on) alcohol for Dry January doesn’t mean you need to forgo the fun and flavor of a delicious beverage!

Some of the best non-alcoholic cocktail recipes out there are inspired by the profiles of classic drinks. They balance sweetness with bitterness, mouthwatering acidity, fizz, and nuanced notes from herbs and spices.

This January, we’re adding variety to our line-up of herbal tea and green juice with a slew of new mocktail recipes inspired by Mediterranean flavors and ingredients. There’s something here for everyone!

3 ginger beer mocktails, one garnished with a candied pear chip and one with a cinnamon stick, on a wooden platter.

Sparkling Pear Ginger Beer Mocktail

Warmly spiced, not-too-sweet ginger beer is a great N/A option on its own, but adding juicy pear nectar and a splash of elderflower syrup makes a sophisticated, easy mocktail that looks great in a coupe glass. The glassy candied pear chip garnish is an optional flourish!

Pomegranate Fizz Mocktail

Bright pink and bubbly, this pomegranate fizz has all the celebratory energy of a champagne cocktail. Tart pomegranate juice is the base, while sparkling water gives it lift. A cardamom-spiced honey syrup adds just enough sweetness and a beguiling aroma.

A close up of a glass of non alcoholic sangria garnished with sprigs of fresh thyme and orange and lemon peels on a marble serving tray. Behind this is a pitcher of the sangria, dried hibiscus flowers, and an orange.

Non-Alcoholic Sangria

Hosting a party? This alcohol-free sangria is perfect when you need a batched mocktail recipe that doesn’t feel like an afterthought. Dried hibiscus flowers—the same ones we use in this vibrant hibiscus iced tea—steeped with warming spices, fresh thyme, a touch of honey, and citrus yield a deep red pitcher with just as much complexity as the original.

A glass of cranberry mocktail garnished with rosemary, cranberries and lime next to a lime half, an empty glass and a bowl of cranberries.

Cranberry Rosemary Mocktail

Tart cranberry juice, homemade rosemary simple syrup, bubbly club soda, and a little lime come together for a refreshing, vibrant, and easy-to-make mocktail recipe.

Two glasses of the rosemary grapefruit tonic with grapefruit wheels, sprigs of rosemary and sumac rims on coasters.

Grapefruit Mocktail with Sumac

This rosemary grapefruit tonic is all about brightness and bite—two qualities often missed in non-alcoholic drinks. Fresh grapefruit juice brings sharp acidity, while sumac adds a subtle, tangy, tannic note that mimics the complexity of bitters. The result is crisp, refreshing, and zero-proof.

Three mugs of vegan eggnog garnished with star anise, a cinnamon stick and whipped coconut cream, one is on a wooden tray. Next to this is a grater with a nutmeg.

Date-Tahini Dairy-Free Eggnog

Satisfy a sweet craving with this creamy, dairy-free eggnog. Dates provide natural sweetness and body, while tahini adds richness and a nutty depth. Serve it cold, dusted with warm spices, for slow, after-dinner sipping, or use chocolate tahini to make a naturally-sweet, dairy-free hot chocolate.

two glass mugs of lemon ginger tea with a sliced lemon in each mug.

Lemon Ginger Tea

Think of this fresh ginger-citrus tea as a non-alcoholic hot toddy. It has a bold, slightly spicy flavor profile thanks to the ginger root, balanced with sweet honey. A touch of lemon and turmeric gives this soothing hot drink some immune-boosting properties, too!

Tart Cherry Juice Mocktail with Thyme and Aleppo Pepper

If you love cocktails with herbal or savory notes, this mocktail delivers! Tart cherry juice provides a deep, wine-like richness, while fresh thyme adds aromatic complexity, and Aleppo pepper introduces a gentle warmth.
