Shana Liebman has written for many publications, including New York Magazine, The New York Observer, Salon, Food52, Travel & Leisure, and The Independent. She has an MFA in fiction writing from Columbia University and a culinary degree from the Institute of Culinary Education. Most recently, she wrote the 300-recipe book about international barbecue, Barbecue, published by Phaidon Publishing Co. in 2025, which won the Readable Feast award for best single-subject cookbook.
Shana lives in New York in a house full of boys (including a rescue dog named Ziggy). When she is not writing or cooking, she is desperately trying to keep up with soccer discussions among her two sons and her husband, Michael.
